5:00 p.m. - Registration begins for speed events 

5:30 Speed Events Begin 

Ages for all horse events are age of the horse and rider on September 1st, 2026.  **ORIGINAL CURRENT NEGATIVE COGGINS REQUIRED FOR ALL HORSES ON THE PREMISES.  No Nursing Foals or Mares with Unweaned  foals allowed on grounds during any event. No horse under the age of two as of January 1, 2026, are allowed to be shown. No Entry Fees. Ribbons will be given to first five places in each class. All youth must be accompanied with a supervising adult. Lead Line Classes not eligible for Premiums. 

Premiums for Speed Events will be as follows: 1st - $5.00; 2nd- $4.00, 3rd - $3.00 

No fees to enter.  

Open to non-Carter County residents.

Stake Race 

Straight Barrels 

AGE GROUPS:

Lead line (6 and under and must be led by another person) 

Peanut (9 and under and not lead by another person) 

PeeWee (10 to 13) 

Juniors (14 to 18) 

Senior Women (19 and up) 

Senior Men (19 and up) 

40 & Over Women 

40 & Over Men.  

*Those persons 40 and over can run in the Senior or 40 and over, but not both. 

High point awarded in each age division for speed events. All speed events will follow the rules for 4-H rules.
